Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution

Bimatoprost is a structural prostaglandin analog. While its full metabolic pathway continues to be studied, clinical dermatologists know it accelerates lash development by safely altering the natural lifecycle of the hair follicle:

• Extending the Anagen Phase: It significantly prolongs the active growth phase of your eyelashes, allowing individual hairs to grow much longer than they naturally could.
• Increasing Follicle Recruitment: It expands the total percentage of hair follicles that enter this active growth state simultaneously, resulting in a noticeably thicker, more filled-out lash line.

To secure the best cosmetic results while prioritizing your ocular safety, consistency and proper technique are essential:

• Nightly Regimen: Apply one drop of Bimatoprost to a sterile applicator once daily at night.
• Upper Lash Line Only: Gently draw the applicator along the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes. Never apply this product to the lower lash line or directly inside the eye for lash therapy.
• Clean Slate: Ensure your face is clean, makeup is entirely removed, and contact lenses are taken out prior to application. Contacts may be safely reinserted 15 minutes after application.
• Timeline to Success: Growth happens gradually. Initial improvements are typically visible around week 8, with full, peak results manifesting clearly by week 16.

• Avoid Contact Lens Absorption: The solution contains benzalkonium chloride, which can be absorbed by soft contact lenses. Always wait at least 15 minutes after application before reinserting your lenses.
• Pigmentation Changes: This solution can cause increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye (the iris), which is likely permanent. It may also cause completely reversible darkening of the skin around the eyelid margin.
• Discontinuation Effect: If you stop your daily regimen, your eyelashes will gradually return to their original, pre-treatment appearance over several weeks or months.

Is this a custom compounded skincare serum?

No. This is a standard, commercially manufactured, FDA-approved pharmaceutical product. It is dispensed in its original manufacturer packaging and is not compounded in our laboratory.

What happens if I accidentally miss a nightly application?

Do not try to apply extra solution the next evening to make up for a missed dose. Simply resume your regular schedule the following night. Excess application will not accelerate lash growth but may increase localized skin redness.
